Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, and black pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Whisk in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Return chicken to skillet and toss to coat with sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

- For extra flavor, marinate chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
