Rich and decadent air fryer chocolate lava cake with a gooey molten center, ready in under 15 minutes for the perfect quick dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter and cocoa powder for greasing ramekins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Grease two small ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, stirring until smooth.
  4. Whisk in powdered sugar until combined.
  5. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  6. Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
  8. Place ramekins in the air fryer basket and cook for 7–9 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  9. Let cool for 1–2 minutes, then carefully invert onto plates and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook to keep the molten center.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on ramekin size and air fryer model.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for an extra treat.
