Description
Rich and decadent air fryer chocolate lava cake with a gooey molten center, ready in under 15 minutes for the perfect quick dessert.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- Butter and cocoa powder for greasing ramekins
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Grease two small ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk in powdered sugar until combined.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Fold in flour and salt until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
- Place ramekins in the air fryer basket and cook for 7–9 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let cool for 1–2 minutes, then carefully invert onto plates and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook to keep the molten center.
- Cooking time may vary depending on ramekin size and air fryer model.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for an extra treat.
