Description

Soft and fluffy apple fritter bites filled with cinnamon-spiced apples, fried to golden perfection, and coated with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and finely diced
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  6. Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze.
  8. Dip warm fritter bites into glaze or drizzle on top.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Best served warm and fresh.
  • Try using different apple varieties for flavor variation.
  • For baked version, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
