Description
A classic bacon and tomato sandwich made with crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, and toasted bread for a simple yet satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 slices sandwich bread
- 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each toast slice.
- Layer the tomato slices over one slice of bread and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Add the cooked bacon on top of the tomatoes.
- Top with the second slice of bread, mayo side down.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use thick-cut bacon for extra crunch.
- Heirloom tomatoes add more flavor when in season.
- You can add lettuce for extra freshness.
