Description

A hearty one-pan cheesy beef and rice skillet combining seasoned ground beef, tender rice, and melted cheese for a quick and satisfying comfort meal.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and sauté until soft, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add rice, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Mix well.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is tender.
  8. Sprinkle cheese over the top, cover, and let melt for 2–3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
