Description
A comforting one-pan Cheesy Beef Lasagna Skillet featuring seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, rich tomato sauce, and plenty of melted cheese—all the flavor of classic lasagna without the layering.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in marinara sauce and beef broth, then add broken lasagna noodles.
- Stir well, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15–18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
- Dollop ricotta over the skillet, then sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan on top.
- Cover again for 2–3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Substitute Italian sausage for part of the beef for extra flavor.
- Add spinach or mushrooms to increase vegetables.
- Use oven-ready lasagna noodles for quicker cooking.
