Description

A hearty and comforting dish made with tender potatoes, smoked sausage, ranch seasoning, and melted cheese baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds baby red potatoes, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Spread potatoes evenly in the prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway.
  4. Remove from oven, add smoked sausage slices, and stir to combine. Return to oven and bake for another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, drizzle with ranch dressing before serving.
  • Use Yukon gold potatoes for a creamier texture.
  • This dish can also be made in a cast-iron skillet for crispier edges.
