Description

Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf is a flavorful twist on the classic dish, combining tender ground chicken with layers of turkey ham and Swiss cheese baked into a juicy, comforting meatloaf.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 6 slices turkey ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, and parsley until just combined.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
  4. Layer the turkey ham evenly over the meat, then add a layer of Swiss cheese slices.
  5. Top with the remaining chicken mixture and press gently to seal the edges.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the loaf.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Resting the loaf before slicing helps keep it juicy and prevents the cheese from spilling out.
  • Swap Swiss for provolone or mozzarella if desired.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad.
