A comforting and simple dish of tender chicken served with buttered egg noodles, perfect for a hearty family meal.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C). Remove and let rest.
- Meanwhile, cook egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain well.
- Toss hot noodles with butter, parsley, and Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Slice chicken and serve over buttered noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, deglaze the skillet with chicken broth or white wine after cooking the chicken and drizzle over noodles.
- Substitute chicken thighs for juicier meat.
- Can be paired with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
