Description

Soft and chewy cookies that combine the richness of cheesecake with classic chocolate chip cookies, featuring a creamy center and crisp edges.

Ingredients

  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 12–14 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes results in thicker cookies.
  • Do not overbake; cookies will continue to set as they cool.
  • You can use dark or milk chocolate chips based on preference.
