Description
A rich and indulgent dessert pie made with a buttery cookie crust, creamy chocolate chip cookie dough filling, and extra chocolate chips for the ultimate sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 prepared pie crust (homemade or store-bought, baked and cooled)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (divided)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in milk and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until smooth. Fold in 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold into cream cheese mixture.
- Combine cream cheese mixture with prepared cookie dough filling and mix until smooth.
- Spread mixture evenly into the cooled pie crust. Top with remaining chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- For added indulgence, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce before serving.
- Heat-treat flour by microwaving it in 30-second intervals or baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria.
- Can be made 1 day ahead and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
