Description

A soft and fluffy cake swirled with buttery cinnamon sugar and topped with a sweet glaze, combining the flavors of classic cinnamon rolls in an easy-to-make dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until combined. Stir in melted butter.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until well combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon mixture over the cake batter and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. For glaze: whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm cake and serve.
