Crab Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits are soft, cheesy biscuits filled with a rich crab mixture and brushed with buttery garlic seasoning, making them a decadent appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 ounces lump crab meat, picked over
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper until combined.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the biscuit dough using the biscuit mix, milk, and shredded cheddar according to package directions.
- Scoop a portion of biscuit dough, flatten slightly, and place a spoonful of crab filling in the center.
- Wrap the dough around the filling and seal well.
- Place stuffed biscuits seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 14–16 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Mix melted butter with dried parsley and brush over warm biscuits.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use lump or jumbo lump crab for best texture.
- Be careful not to overfill the biscuits.
