Description
Juicy chicken breasts stuffed with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, broccoli, and cheese, then baked until tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup broccoli florets, finely chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Toothpicks (for securing chicken)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast without cutting all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each chicken breast with the broccoli cream cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Rub the outside of the chicken with olive oil and season with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the stuffed chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove toothpicks before serving and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Finely chopping the broccoli helps it cook evenly inside the chicken.
- You can substitute cheddar with mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese.
- For extra flavor, sear the stuffed chicken in a skillet for 2–3 minutes before baking.
- Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
