Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned or plain)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for pan-frying or baking sheet)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a skillet for pan-frying.
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness for uniform cooking.
  3. Set up a dredging station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. For baking: Place chicken on a lightly greased baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil or melted butter, and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. For pan-frying: Heat oil in skillet, cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges or marinara sauce if desired.
