Description

Tender, fall-off-the-bone barbecue ribs slow-cooked in a crockpot and finished with a rich, smoky barbecue sauce for effortless comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork baby back ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)


Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and cut ribs into sections to fit the crockpot.
  2. Season ribs with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
  3. Place ribs vertically or stacked in the crockpot.
  4. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour sauce mixture over the ribs, coating evenly.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until tender.
  7. Optional: Transfer ribs to a baking sheet, brush with extra sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes for caramelization.
  8. Serve hot with remaining sauce.
