Description
Decadent Tiramisu Truffles are a bite-sized twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone, and a rich chocolate coating for a luxurious treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups ladyfinger cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp brewed espresso (cooled)
- 1 tsp coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz dark chocolate, melted
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, espresso, coffee liqueur (if using), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the crushed ladyfinger cookies until a soft dough forms.
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Dip each truffle into the melted dark chocolate and set back on the tray.
- Dust with cocoa powder while still slightly wet or after the chocolate sets, depending on preference.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
