Description

Decadent Tiramisu Truffles are a bite-sized twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone, and a rich chocolate coating for a luxurious treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ladyfinger cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp brewed espresso (cooled)
  • 1 tsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, espresso, coffee liqueur (if using), and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Stir in the crushed ladyfinger cookies until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Dip each truffle into the melted dark chocolate and set back on the tray.
  6. Dust with cocoa powder while still slightly wet or after the chocolate sets, depending on preference.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the espresso slightly.
  • You can roll truffles in crushed ladyfingers instead of cocoa powder for extra texture.
  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
