Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Toast in the oven for 8–10 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- In a bowl, mash avocados with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until creamy but slightly chunky.
- In another bowl, combine diced tomatoes, garlic, and basil.
- Spread smashed avocado over toasted baguette slices.
- Top with tomato mixture and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
- Serve immediately.
