Description

A fresh and flavorful twist on classic bruschetta, featuring creamy smashed avocado, ripe tomatoes, garlic, and herbs served on toasted bread slices.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  3. Toast in the oven for 8–10 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  4. In a bowl, mash avocados with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until creamy but slightly chunky.
  5. In another bowl, combine diced tomatoes, garlic, and basil.
  6. Spread smashed avocado over toasted baguette slices.
  7. Top with tomato mixture and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.
