Description

A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken tossed in spaghetti with a creamy Cajun-spiced sauce, infused with garlic and Parmesan for the perfect balance of heat and creaminess.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken strips with half of the Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and red bell pepper until softened and fragrant.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Whisk in Parmesan cheese, remaining Cajun seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Return chicken to skillet and toss with sauce.
  8. Add cooked spaghetti and mix until fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  9. Top with mozzarella (if using) and let melt slightly before serving.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, use blackened seasoning instead of Cajun.
  • Can substitute shrimp for chicken for a seafood version.
  • Adjust creaminess by adding more or less Parmesan to taste.
