Description
A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken tossed in spaghetti with a creamy Cajun-spiced sauce, infused with garlic and Parmesan for the perfect balance of heat and creaminess.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken strips with half of the Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and red bell pepper until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese, remaining Cajun seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to skillet and toss with sauce.
- Add cooked spaghetti and mix until fully coated in the creamy sauce.
- Top with mozzarella (if using) and let melt slightly before serving.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, use blackened seasoning instead of Cajun.
- Can substitute shrimp for chicken for a seafood version.
- Adjust creaminess by adding more or less Parmesan to taste.
