Description

Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a creamy, flavorful one-pot dish made with simple ingredients like garlic, butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese. It’s rich, comforting, and ready in under 30 minutes — the perfect easy weeknight meal or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for extra creaminess)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant (do not brown).
  2. Add chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add uncooked pasta and stir to separate noodles. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and heavy cream (if using) until sauce is creamy and smooth.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes to thicken slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture and flavor — pre-shredded cheese may clump.
  • Substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
