Description

Glazed Lamb Chops with Mashed Potatoes is a rich and comforting dish featuring tender lamb chops coated in a savory sweet glaze, served alongside creamy buttery mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 8 lamb chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 600 g potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the chopped potatoes in salted water for 15–18 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Keep warm.
  3. Season the lamb chops with salt and black pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the lamb chops for 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add garlic, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, rosemary, and thyme.
  7. Spoon the glaze over the lamb chops and cook for another 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and the lamb reaches desired doneness.
  8. Remove from heat and let the lamb rest for 3 minutes.
  9. Serve the glazed lamb chops over or beside the mashed potatoes and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Use bone-in lamb chops for the best flavor.
  • Cook lamb to medium or medium-rare for maximum tenderness.
  • For extra flavor, add a small knob of butter to the glaze while finishing the lamb.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables or green beans for a balanced meal.
