Description
Golden Parmesan Pork Chops are juicy pan-seared pork chops coated in a crispy Parmesan crust, delivering a rich, savory flavor with a golden exterior and tender interior.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Dip each pork chop into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
- Press the pork chops into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coated pork chops and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F / 63°C).
- Remove from the skillet and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, press the coating firmly onto the pork chops before cooking.
- A cast iron skillet works best for achieving a deep golden crust.
- You can substitute panko breadcrumbs for a lighter, crunchier texture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
