Description

Flavorful Greek-style grilled chicken wraps filled with tender marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and a creamy garlic yogurt sauce wrapped in soft flatbread.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 large pita breads or flatbreads
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (for sauce)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add chicken breasts and coat well with the marinade. Let marinate for at least 20–30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
  6. Prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dill in a small bowl.
  7. Warm the pita breads slightly on a skillet or grill.
  8. Place grilled chicken slices in the center of each pita.
  9. Add lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and red onion.
  10. Drizzle garlic yogurt sauce over the filling.
  11. Wrap tightly and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chicken can also be cooked in a skillet if a grill is not available.
  • Add feta cheese or olives for extra Mediterranean flavor.
  • Use whole wheat pita for a healthier option.
  • Leftover chicken can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
