Description

Juicy, pan-seared pork chops coated in a sticky-sweet honey garlic glaze. This quick and flavorful dish combines savory, sweet, and garlicky notes for a delicious weeknight dinner ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F / 63°C). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon glaze over them, coating evenly. Simmer for another minute to caramelize the glaze.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh thyme or parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra depth, add a splash of lemon juice or chili flakes to the glaze.
  • Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Bone-in pork chops can also be used; adjust cooking time accordingly.
  • Leftovers reheat well and make great sandwiches the next day.
