Description

A savory-sweet stir-fry featuring tender shrimp, smoky sausage, and crisp broccoli tossed in a rich honey garlic sauce for a quick and flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes. For a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until lightly browned. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
  4. Add the remaining oil and sauté broccoli for 4–5 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
  5. Return shrimp and sausage to the pan. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and sauce is thickened.
  7. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or enjoy on its own.

Notes

  • Use turkey sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
  • Add bell peppers or snap peas for more veggies.
  • For extra heat, increase red pepper flakes or add sriracha.
  • Great for meal prep and reheats well.
