Description
A savory-sweet stir-fry featuring tender shrimp, smoky sausage, and crisp broccoli tossed in a rich honey garlic sauce for a quick and flavorful weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes. For a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until lightly browned. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
- Add the remaining oil and sauté broccoli for 4–5 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
- Return shrimp and sausage to the pan. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and sauce is thickened.
- Serve hot over rice, noodles, or enjoy on its own.
Notes
- Use turkey sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
- Add bell peppers or snap peas for more veggies.
- For extra heat, increase red pepper flakes or add sriracha.
