Description
A quick and flavorful stir-fry made with shrimp, sausage, and broccoli tossed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside with shrimp.
- Add remaining olive oil and the broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture and toss everything to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot over rice, quinoa, or noodles if desired.
Notes
- Adjust honey and soy sauce ratio based on sweetness or saltiness preference.
- For extra flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
- Use turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
- Great served over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice.
