Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, room temperature
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until light in color.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Slowly add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 75–85 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overmix once flour is added.
- All ingredients should be at room temperature.
- Cover loosely with foil if top browns too quickly.
