Ingredients
- 250 g noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
- 300 g ground beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add cooked noodles and toss well to coat in the sauce.
- Stir in green onions and chili flakes if using. Serve hot.

- You can add vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli.
- Adjust sweetness by reducing brown sugar if preferred.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels.
- Substitute ground beef with ground chicken or turkey if desired.
