Peppermint Espresso Martinis are a festive holiday cocktail featuring bold espresso, smooth vodka, rich coffee liqueur, and a refreshing hint of peppermint—perfect for seasonal celebrations.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlúa)
- 1 oz fresh espresso, cooled
- 1/2 oz peppermint schnapps
- 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Ice
- Crushed candy canes (for rim)
- Whipped cream (optional topping)
- Mini candy cane (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Rim the edge of a martini glass with simple syrup, then dip into crushed candy canes. Set aside.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup if using.
- Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until chilled and frothy.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with a mini candy cane if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed, cooled espresso for the richest flavor.
- Adjust peppermint schnapps to make the drink more or less minty.
- Chill glasses beforehand for an even smoother presentation.
