Description
Crispy and flavorful salmon patties made with canned or fresh salmon, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained and flaked (or 2 cups cooked fresh salmon)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape mixture into 6–8 patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or over a salad.
Notes
- For extra crunch, coat patties lightly in panko before frying.
- Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes as a healthier option.
- Pairs well with a fresh salad or mashed potatoes.
