Description

Savory Cajun Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Pasta Linguine is a bold, flavorful dish featuring tender, spicy Cajun-seasoned chicken served over silky linguine coated in a rich, garlicky Parmesan cream sauce. A perfect balance of spice and comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 ounces linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and rub them evenly with Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the pan and scrape up any flavorful bits from the bottom.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 3–5 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Slice the Cajun chicken and place it on top of the creamy pasta. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Grilled shrimp or sausage can be substituted for chicken for variety.
  • Serve immediately — the sauce thickens as it cools.
