Description

Juicy meatballs made with seasoned ground meat, fresh spinach, and garlic, stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese and baked until golden and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 120 g mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Take a small portion of the mixture and flatten it in your hand.
  5. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat mixture around it to form a ball.
  6. Repeat with the remaining mixture and place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush or drizzle olive oil lightly over the meatballs.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure the mozzarella is fully sealed inside the meat to prevent leaking during cooking.
  • You can substitute ground beef with ground chicken or turkey.
  • Serve with marinara sauce, pasta, or a fresh salad.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
