Description
A rich and satisfying pasta dish featuring tender steak slices, spaghetti, and broccoli crowns tossed in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce—perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients
- 250g spaghetti
- 300g steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli crowns
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Blanch broccoli crowns in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onion until soft, about 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat and add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Stir until smooth.
- Add cooked spaghetti and broccoli to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
- Return steak to the skillet and toss gently to combine.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcook steak to keep it tender.
- You can substitute broccoli with spinach or asparagus.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
