Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag and pipe small mounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  8. Gently fold in chopped strawberries to create the filling.
  9. Slice cooled puffs in half and fill with strawberry cream mixture.
  10. Dust tops with powdered sugar before serving.
