Description

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag and pipe small mounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in chopped strawberries to create the filling.
- Slice cooled puffs in half and fill with strawberry cream mixture.
- Dust tops with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Ensure cream puffs are completely cool before filling to prevent melting.
- Use very fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Can be made ahead; store shells in an airtight container and fill before serving.
