Description
Sweet chili glazed shrimp bites served on crisp bases with a creamy garlic dip, perfect as an appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 24 mini crackers or toasted baguette slices
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Garlic Dip:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add shrimp to the marinade and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and glazed.
- Arrange mini crackers or baguette slices on a serving platter.
- Place one shrimp on each cracker and spoon a small amount of extra glaze on top.
- Mix all garlic dip ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
- Garnish shrimp bites with cilantro and serve with the garlic dip.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly toast crackers or baguette slices before topping.
- Add crushed red pepper to the glaze for more heat.
- Shrimp can also be grilled for a smokier flavor.
