Description

A hearty burrito inspired by Taco Bell’s Beefy Melt, packed with seasoned ground beef, seasoned rice, nacho cheese sauce, and a blend of shredded cheeses, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked seasoned Mexican rice
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded three-cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, mozzarella)
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  4. Assemble burritos: spread a layer of seasoned rice in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Top with seasoned beef, a drizzle of nacho cheese sauce, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  6. Add optional sour cream, tomatoes, and green onions if desired.
  7. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly into a burrito.
  8. Optional: Grill burritos on a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly browned and sealed.
  9. Serve hot with extra nacho cheese or salsa on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or hot sauce before rolling.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
