Ingredients
- 1 baguette or Italian loaf, sliced lengthwise
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix softened butter and minced garlic together, then spread evenly over the bread halves.
- Drizzle the bread lightly with olive oil.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden and crisp.
- In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, and basil.
- Spoon the tomato mixture over the warm garlic bread.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with Parmesan if using.
- Slice and serve immediately.
