Description

Savory turkey stuffing balls made with tender ground turkey, classic herbs, and bread cubes — crispy on the outside and soft inside, perfect for holiday meals or as a flavorful side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 3 cups cubed bread (day-old preferred)
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for baking or frying)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and garlic, and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cubed bread, cooked vegetables, ground turkey, egg, sage, thyme, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy. Mix gently until combined.
  5. Shape mixture into 12–14 equal-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush or drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with gravy or cranberry sauce for a festive touch.
  • Unbaked stuffing balls can be frozen and baked straight from frozen — just add 5–7 minutes to cooking time.
