Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
- Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes.
- Serve on buns, lettuce wraps, or over a salad as desired.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing to keep burgers tender.
- Use a meat thermometer; internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- These burgers also bake well at 375°F (190°C) for 20–22 minutes.
