Description

Bacon Cheeseburger Pretzel Bake is a hearty comfort-food casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, crispy beef bacon, creamy cheese sauce, and a buttery pretzel topping baked until golden and bubbly. It delivers all the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with a crunchy pretzel twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup diced dill pickles
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  6. Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  7. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, and half of the crumbled beef bacon.
  8. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  9. Fold the beef mixture into the cheese mixture.
  10. Spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  11. Mix crushed pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  12. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and beef bacon.
  13. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  14. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  15. Garnish with diced pickles, green onions, and parsley.

Notes

  • Do not crush the pretzels too finely to preserve their crunchy texture.
  • Freshly shredded cheddar melts more smoothly.
  • Add diced tomatoes or jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • Serve with burger sauce or ketchup if desired.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
