Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails (5-6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler and position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell and gently lift the meat over the shell, leaving the base attached.
- Brush the lobster meat with olive oil and season with paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet.
- Broil for 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140-145°F (60-63°C).
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
- Spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce over the broiled lobster tails.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges and additional sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Avoid overcooking the lobster to keep the meat tender and juicy.
- Freshly grated Parmesan provides the smoothest sauce.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or crusty bread to enjoy the sauce.
- Leftover lobster is best enjoyed within 1 day when refrigerated.
