Description

Broiled Lobster Tails in Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce is an elegant seafood dish featuring tender lobster tails broiled to perfection and finished with a rich garlic butter cream sauce infused with Parmesan, lemon, and fresh herbs. Perfect for date nights, holidays, or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails (5-6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler and position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell and gently lift the meat over the shell, leaving the base attached.
  3. Brush the lobster meat with olive oil and season with paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet.
  5. Broil for 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140-145°F (60-63°C).
  6. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  9. Add the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  10. Remove from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  11. Spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce over the broiled lobster tails.
  12. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and additional sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Avoid overcooking the lobster to keep the meat tender and juicy.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan provides the smoothest sauce.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or crusty bread to enjoy the sauce.
  • Leftover lobster is best enjoyed within 1 day when refrigerated.
