Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package (11.36 oz) Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for biscuit topping)
- 3/4 cup cold milk
- 1 seasoning packet from biscuit mix
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until creamy and well combined.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine Cheddar Bay biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough evenly over the beef mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
- Mix melted butter with the seasoning packet and brush over the hot biscuit topping.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
