Ingredients
- 300 g penne pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into pieces
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Add mushrooms and cook until tender and browned.
- Add asparagus pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir well.
- Add the cooked penne pasta and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with parsley and optional chili flakes before serving warm.

- Do not overcook the asparagus to maintain its bright color and crunch.
