Description

Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups are a delicious handheld comfort food featuring seasoned ground beef, crispy beef bacon, cheddar cheese, and garlic butter wrapped in flaky dough and baked until golden brown. Perfect for family dinners, game days, or party appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for garlic butter)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Optional: diced dill pickles for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  6. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in the crumbled beef bacon. Let cool slightly.
  8. Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  9. Evenly spread the beef mixture over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the filling.
  11. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  12. Slice into 1-inch rounds and place cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  13. Mix melted butter, garlic, and dried parsley in a small bowl.
  14. Brush the garlic butter generously over each rollup.
  15. Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  16. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Allow the beef mixture to cool slightly before assembling to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.
  • Sharp cheddar provides the best cheeseburger flavor.
  • Serve with burger sauce, ranch dressing, or ketchup for dipping.
  • Add diced pickles inside the rollups for an authentic cheeseburger taste.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
