Description

A rich and savory surf-and-turf plate featuring juicy garlic butter beef steak paired with tender shrimp, served with a flavorful buttery garlic sauce perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 8 oz each)
  • 250 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Optional: mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the steaks for 3-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached. Remove and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic.
  5. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Add the remaining butter and lemon juice, stirring to coat the shrimp in the garlic butter sauce.
  7. Return the steaks to the skillet briefly to soak in the flavors.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with your preferred sides.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • You can substitute ribeye with sirloin or New York strip steak.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
