Description
Garlic Butter Cheeseburgers are juicy, restaurant-style beef burgers seared in rich garlic butter and topped with melted cheddar cheese. Served on toasted brioche buns with fresh toppings and a garlic butter spread, these burgers are packed with bold flavor and perfect for cookouts or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs halal ground beef (80/20)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 brioche burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 4 slices red onion
- 4 dill pickle slices
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a bowl, gently combine the ground beef with the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties slightly larger than the buns.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the final minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger and cover briefly to melt.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the parsley.
- Brush the cut sides of the brioche buns generously with the garlic butter and toast them until lightly golden.
- Drizzle a little of the remaining garlic butter over the cooked burger patties.
- Spread mayonnaise on the buns if desired, then layer with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and the cheeseburger patties.
- Serve immediately with fries, chips, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for the juiciest burgers.
- Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the patties tender.
- Brush the buns with garlic butter just before toasting for maximum flavor.
- Customize with bacon alternatives, sautéed mushrooms, or caramelized onions.
- Cook burgers to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) when using ground beef.
