Description

Garlic Butter Pizza Chicken is a cheesy, protein-packed dinner that combines juicy chicken breasts with a rich garlic butter base, zesty pizza sauce, melted mozzarella, and turkey pepperoni. It delivers all the flavors of a classic pizza in an easy low-carb baked chicken dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz turkey pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over both sides of the chicken.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and spoon pizza sauce evenly over each chicken breast.
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese, turkey pepperoni slices, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. For a golden bubbly top, broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  10. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle with parsley and optional red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

  • Turkey pepperoni keeps the recipe halal-friendly while maintaining classic pizza flavor.
  • Chicken thighs can be substituted for a juicier result.
  • Add mushrooms, olives, onions, or bell peppers as additional pizza toppings.
  • Freshly shredded mozzarella melts better than pre-shredded cheese.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
