Description
Hot Honey Salmon Alfredo is a creamy and indulgent pasta dish featuring flaky salmon glazed with sweet-spicy hot honey, tossed with tender fettuccine in a rich garlic Parmesan Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes.
- Season salmon with paprika, garlic powder, half of the salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Brush or drizzle the hot honey mixture over the salmon during the last minute of cooking. Remove salmon and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, remaining salt, and nutmeg until smooth and creamy.
- Add reserved pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
- Toss cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce until fully coated.
- Top with hot honey salmon pieces.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Freshly grated Parmesan melts more smoothly than pre-shredded cheese.
- Adjust the hot sauce and red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
- Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and flaky.
- A splash of lemon juice brightens the rich Alfredo sauce.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 2 days.
