Description

Lemon Poppy Seed Frozen Mousse is a light, creamy no-bake frozen dessert bursting with bright lemon flavor and delicate poppy seeds. Made with whipped cream, cream cheese, and fresh lemon juice, this refreshing mousse is perfect for spring and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks
  • For Garnish:
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh lemon slices or twists
  • Extra lemon zest
  • Additional poppy seeds
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the granulated sugar, powdered sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Stir in the poppy seeds.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the lemon mixture until light and fluffy.
  5. Spoon the mousse into a parchment-lined loaf pan or individual dessert molds.
  6. Cover tightly and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.
  7. Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving to soften slightly.
  8. Garnish with whipped cream, lemon slices, extra zest, poppy seeds, and mint if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the brightest citrus flavor.
  • Full-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt create the creamiest texture.
  • Do not overmix after folding in the whipped cream to keep the mousse light and airy.
  • Individual silicone molds make elegant single-serving desserts.
  • Store tightly covered in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
