Ingredients

  • 20 oz refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 6 slices halal beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • Extra shredded cheddar cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  8. Mix in the sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  9. Add the cooked ravioli and gently toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  10. Fold in most of the crumbled halal beef bacon, reserving some for garnish.
  11. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  12. Top with the remaining halal beef bacon, green onions, chives, and extra cheddar cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use refrigerated ravioli for the best texture and quickest preparation.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly than pre-shredded cheese.
  • Add steamed broccoli for extra vegetables.
  • Do not boil the sauce after adding the sour cream to prevent curdling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
